Guys, ever need to scratch through your skull think about what to buy for your girlfriend, sister, female friends, female colleague?
No? Good for you.
To the other guys, do you need a gift that is unique? Gift that looks like you spent a long time to come out with? Gift that shows your love or effort?
Well, you come to the wrong place for advice! LOL
I’m a guy writing article on gifts that I think suitable for others to use as reference, I take no responsibility for whatever action you would take after reading my suggestion, and the consequences that might come after…
OK, jokes aside, here is what I would suggest 🙂
Apparel
“Hey, but this is just the most general cliche idea ever!” Bet this just ran past your mind.
If that’s your sister, cliche-y is good enough. A dress, a T-shirt, anything along those line~ 😛
When you are getting a dress for your girlfriend, you have just proved 3 things, you know her well (hopefully), you want her to look good (hopes she appreciates that), and you solved her nothing-to-wear wardrobe problem (well, for at least one day) !
But beware… Do you know her size, her favourite colour, or colour she dislikes? Is she the type who would assume that you think she isn’t pretty enough, so that you got her a dress? (Hmm, landmines here)
When your girlfriend is someone who would greatly accept a dress as a gift, then go ahead, pick something you know she would look nice in it. A plus for her, a plus for you 🙂
Custom printed gifts
Nothing beats a gift that has your own thought on it.
A ceramic tile with her photos printed on it, or a canvas printed with her favourite singer or actor. Something that has a little personal touch on it.
Even a custom printed mug (so everywhere) can be a good present for your colleague, you can come out with lots of prank gift idea with that too. (psst… have your face printed on the mug)
Okay, let’s get serious here, how about have a selfie photo of you and your girlfriend, on a T-shirt?
There are many websites that can custom print any design on to things like mug, shirt, pillow… you know, that sort of gift.
DIY gifts
Nothing beats a gift that has your own effort on it. Wait, that’s somehow familiar?
The classic hand-made wish card, chocolate-candy-filled bottle with personal message or design on it, hand made plushie, felt decorative keychain, anything you can make it from scratch, (could) works 🙂
Maybe you gonna say, “but I have no skill to produce those things”.

Do not worry about the quality of the finish product, the uglier it is, the higher the uniqueness it is XD
It is your effort in making it that counts.
Things that you saw her staring at while shopping
Ahhh, the “romantic” scene you’ve seen on some drama, when the person opens the gift, it is that something they have their eyes on during window shopping time.
Looks romantic? She is happy, you are relieved. Well, recreate that scene 😀
Pay some attention on what she was staring at, or
If you have the chance, check her browsing history on some ecommerce platforms that she always do her online shopping, that should give you some clues too.
Now go and plan ahead 🙂
